I got the second complaint about the new lay out this morning. I have gotten 30 emails about how great it is, so I have no regrets. But I realize that different people like to use the site differently. Some people look at it every day. Some people look at it twice a month. Some people want to see everything at a glance, and some people want only the latest updates.

I am exploring the idea letting you choose which layout works best for you. So, the look and feel of things will change over the next few hours and days, as I dial this in. Then hopefully when I am done, there will be a section you can use to get the layout that best suits your tastes.

Word to your mother.

I am going to invest my time in that instead of on this web site. But I figure that if I write a post about it, then it is almost like I worked on the site tonight.

I proudly admit that I harvested the ADAM from some of the Little Sisters in the first game. I see that I am presented with the same choice in the sequel. I assume that this is a diversion to distract me from the real moral decision that I need to make in order to end the game with a happy ending.

I’m sure that there are thousands of you out there who can give me spoilers, but I know that you wont do that.

And just so you know. I’m not a gamer nerd. I never went to Comicon. I haven’t played WOW. I don’t live with my parents. And I know what a woman feels like.

From their web site:

BOOZE, BANDS, BIKES, BROADS, and RODS. The Shakedown Bar San Diego is coming September 1st to take SD by storm. Injected with a love for old chops, rodz, skateboarding, punk rock/rock n roll and of course booze. Lead by DeadTed, Dago native and bike builder at Powerplant Choppers Hollywood, along with right hand men, C.C.- aka. the sleeziest sleeze of the seven seas, Dave Swain- aka Dangerous Dave of The Bugs and The Queers, Bartender and Barber extraordinaire Ray Dominguez-aka Raybeez, and the one nutted wonderboy known as RedBall. Located on Midway and Rosecrans near the Sports Arena in what was formerly the Rhythm Lounge (R.I.P.) to create a rock n roll nightmare unlike any other. We will happily be providing the best malt liquor selection in town (Colt 45, Mickeys, Olde E, Steel Reserve, Schlitz and more), plus all your usual favorite beers and cocktails at unmatched prices. We have a stage for live performances soon to include (sssshhhh… the agents won’t let us announce them yet but you’ll be surprised with the badass bands we can get in here), while still supporting the local music scene. Guest DJ’s such as Dangerous Dave and others will be spinning an eclectic mix of Rock n Roll weekly. Our juke box will include a rare selection of music you won’t find in your average “rock n roll bar”. Plus we have an in-house DJ setup with a collection of over 20,000 songs for your listening pleasure. If you wanna hear something just ask and we’ll throw it on. If we don’t have it you’re probably in the wrong bar. The projectors will feature old skate videos, band footage, vintage biker/ rod flicks, and more . Weekly BBQ’s with rod and chop gatherings along with Menudo on Sunday mornings to cure those hangovers served up by Reverend Deadted and Reverend Raybeez for our rock n roll church. We will be open every day from 2-2 and 10-2 on Sundays with daytime, happy hour, and nightly drink specials . Our goal is to provide a badass spot where we can all have a good time with ALL BULLSHIT ATTITUDES LEFT AT THE DOOR. Everyone is invited to come down, have a good time, and make some good friends with a growing cast of characters.

Excerpt:

Today we’ve got an interview with long-running punk band, D.I.. The band features ex-Adolescents and Social Distortion drummer Casey Royer on vocals. Royer formed the group after he and Rikk Agnew left that band. The band formed in 1982 and has features a frequently changing lineup including former members of The Adolescents and Social Distortion (including the Angew brothers Rikk and Alfie).

The interview was conducted by Ariana Rodriguez. The band talks about their past, their new album, On the Western Front and being covered by Slayer on Undisputed Attitude.
There is a very tight association with D.I. and your former band, the Adolescents. The two bands have shared band mates and even song sets. Where does this closeness come from?

Casey: We’re not trying to sellout or anything, we’ve always just been friends. It has never a business; it’s just been an underground punk rock vibe. We have never grown apart, and have always just been happy being semi-popular. We never thought we were going to be successful, and now kids from this generation still love the music and we’re still kids in our own head so it just keeps perpetuating in a very strange way.

What makes D.I. different from the Adolescents?

Casey: Besides the singer being totally different style, …I don’t know, we’re kind of from the same mold. Everyone that’s in D.I. was around when I was in the Adolescents. We all grew up together, so we’re pretty much the same – just different faces.
